Owned and run by Undiscovered Montenegro, Villa Miela accommodates small groups of up to eight, with four double/twin bedrooms, each with private bathroom, an enormous terrace with sumptuous views over the lake and valley and its very own orchard of organic figs, plums and pomegranates. It's the perfect base for families, couples and groups of friends to explore Lake Skadar or just hang out, relax and drink in the views.

Typically, an activity break with us includes a minimum of three expertly guided activity days by your hosts, the founders of Undiscovered Montenegro. As you book your holiday, we'll chat with you to find out which activities you like the sound of most. It's your holiday, so make sure you have it your way! Tour 1 - 'Explore and Discovery Day'
An unforgettable car and hiking combination tour taking you past breathtaking views, to rock-pools for wild swimming, bat-inhabited caves and the fortified ruins of Montenegro's old ruling seat, Žabljak Crnojevići, clinging to a rocky outcrop on a plain that wouldn't look out of place in Africa. After a 2 to 3 hour morning hike, we lunch at a former royal residence in historic Rijeka Crnojevića. We jump back in the 4x4 for more exploration in the afternoon via lakeside villages before cooling off in an idyllic river and heading back to Virpazar. _______________________________________________________________________________________

Tour 2 - Kayak Safari
Suitable for all levels of fitness, this 4-5 hour kayak trip will take you across stunning mirrored waters from Murići on the southern shores, (also home to the lake's best freshwater beach), with views up to the fabled peaks of Albania's Prokletian mountains. You'll have the lake all to yourself as you swim in crystal clear waters and visit the lake's renowned 14th century island monastaries, all the while taking in the awesome views, varied bird-life and glorious solitude.

Tour 3 - "Walnut Valley" hike
Our favourite hike - this circular trail passes through ancient
woodland, across arched Ottoman bridges and along riverside trails
and old Roman caravan paths as it winds its way through one of Lake Skadar's most beautiful valleys. We stop for wild swimming in natural spring-fed pools before hiking to the beautiful hillside village of Dupilo for lunch with a local family. This is unspoiled and undisturbed nature, with wild figs, herbs and tortoises in abundance! Best of all, you won't have to share them with other tourists; this is our secret!

Tour 4 - Wine Tasting
Crmnica Valley, where Villa Miela is located, is Montenegro's wine-country. The red vranac and white krstač wines are easily a match for their more famous French rivals. We'll take you to boutique wineries in the villages of Godinje and Limljani where you can sample from the barrels yourselves before finishing off a memorable day with a 3-course dinner at Ivo Ukšanović's, washed down with plentiful wine, of course! _______________________________________________________________________________________
